How to pay for your Paris apartment rental
There are important financial restrictions when paying for your Paris apartment rental
Some expatriate clients who have not yet opened a bank account in France feel it is easier to pay the initial payments (first rent, security deposit, fees) in cash.
However, there is a law in France designed to prevent money-laundering, and as a result:
- A French firm cannot deposit more than the equivalent amount of € 15,000 in cash in total, per year.
- A person (the owner, for example) can not deposit more than the equivalent amount of €7,500 in cash in total, per year.
Our clients must therefore pay the sums due by bank transfer, by check payable in France, or by credit card (Visa, Master Card, American Express).
We'll help you set up your banking when you use Paris Rentals as your agent.
