Home condition report
Whether you are a lessor from the social or from the private housing sector, when renting furnished or unfirnished apartments, as seasonal or company apartments, you must attach to the rental lease a home condition report.
The report remitted at the moment of the rental lease signature or renewal shall include:
- a statement of natural and technological risks if the property is located in an area subject to predictable natural risk prevention plan (PPRNP) and by a technological risk prevention plan (PPRT), mandatory as of June 1, 2006;
- an energy performance diagnosis (pursuant to article L.134-1 of the French construction and housing code), mandatory as of July 1, 2007;
- a report on the risk of exposure to lead for properties built prior to 1949 (pursuant to articles L. 1334-5 and L. 1334-7 of the French public health code), mandatory since 12 August 2008.
